Arrive in O. R. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Garonga Safari Camp, a luxury tented camp set in the Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve of the Kruger National Park. The Greater Makalali Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s best private conservation areas, spanning over 61,000 acres. It’s home to 135 mammal species and all of Africa’s Big Five and is renowned for leopard and rhino sightings.

Activities from Garonga Safari Camp include morning and afternoon game drives in open-air Land Rovers, cultural walks where you’ll learn basic tracking techniques and how to identify flora, fauna and dung. You can also head out on a solitude walk, where you’ll walk in complete silence as your guide silently points out things along the way. At the end of the walk, you’ll talk about the things you saw and have a moment of quiet reflection to absorb your beautiful natural surroundings.
