Unbelievable 8-hour stopover safari in Nairobi We had an 8-hour stopover in Kenya and weren’t sure if a safari was possible. Thanks to the Rockhopper Safaris team, it not only happened – it was incredible! They picked us up at the airport and took us straight to Nairobi National Park. In just 4 hours, we saw giraffes, lions, rhinos, crocodiles, gazelles, buffaloes , deers and many birds. After the safari, we went to the Giraffe Center to feed the giraffes up close, then we were taken to a beautiful garden restaurant where we have enjoyed a nice lunch before heading back to the airport for our next flight. Everything was perfectly timed and stress-free. A huge shoutout to our driver-guide, Francis – he was amazing, professional, and made sure we got the most out of every minute. Highly recommend for anyone with a long layover!

My wish was to dive deeply into the authenticity of the nature and the tradition of Kenya: thanks to Maggie and her colleagues of Rockhopper Safaris, during these three weeks of my solo trip I really felt very welcomed by very special people and totally part of some of the most beautiful places of this marvellous country. Starting from Nairobi, I passed through the history of the big citylife, the conquer of the summit of mt Kenya, farm esperiences, safaris in Maasai Mara… then, the seaside and vibrant life of Mombasa, doing snorkeling in Wasini and exploring the Hell’s kitchen in Marafa, catching a magical su set. I can really tell you that my dream to live the atmosphere of the Lion King movie has been 200% fullfilled and i didn’t expected so much!! I really recommend Rockhopper for the passion, the professionalism, the availability, the kindness, the friendship and the warm welcome of all its own people i had chance to Meet and Who guided me with enthousiasm through this such unforgettable adventure!!

First trip to Africa and first safari What an unforgettable experience! Patrick and Margaret were very flexible and patient with several changes I had to make. And Graham was a fantastic guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the entire Lake Nakuru National Park ecosystem. Besides seeing so many animals and getting some great photos, I learned so much on my safari. The Land Cruiser with the raised roof made you feel like you were part of the park. And seeing three of the “Bug Five” and having a male lion stare right at me was truly a once-in- a- lifetime experience. I highly recommend selecting Rockhopper Safaris for your next trip to Kenya.
