Terms and Conditions – Rockhopper Africa Safaris

Welcome to Rockhopper Africa Safaris. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules, responsibilities, and guidelines for using our safari services. By booking with us, you agree to follow these policies, so please read them carefully.

Reservation and Payments| Terms and conditions

We will email you the official Rockhopper Africa Safaris corporate account details after the agreement. Do not send payments to any personal accounts.

To confirm a reservation, you must pay 40% of the total safari cost in advance. Payments can be made via wire transfer, debit card, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Card payments incur a transaction fee of up to 6%, while direct bank payments have a 3% fee.

The balance is payable on the day of your safari or upon airport pickup. Please note that clients are responsible for all transaction fees.

Cancellations and Refund Policy | Terms and conditions

If you cancel your safari, refunds depend on the timing of cancellation:

  • 40–60 days before: Full refund, minus 30% administration fee.

  • 25–40 days before: 50% refund.

  • 14–25 days before: 20% refund.

  • Less than 14 days or no-show: No refund.

⚠️ Park entrance fees, gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits, and golden monkey permits are non-refundable.
⚠️ Refunds will be issued as a credit note valid for 12 months.

Safari Costs and Quotations

Safari prices include vehicles, guides, meals, and park entrance fees. All quotations are estimates and may change due to operational costs. Contact our specialists for accurate pricing.

Transport and Accommodation

We provide safari vehicles such as minivans, Land Cruisers, 4×4 jeeps, or coaches, depending on the itinerary and group size. Multilingual guides (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German) are available.

Accommodation varies by safari type. Single, double, or family rooms are available at lodges, tented camps, or hotels. Single rooms may incur an extra charge.

Alterations to Tours

We reserve the right to adjust itineraries or postpone tours due to circumstances such as weather, strikes, or other unforeseen events. If a participant is asked to leave a tour, a prorated refund will apply.

Liability and Safety

Travel involves risks. While we take all necessary precautions, Rockhopper Africa Safaris is not liable for delays, accidents, or losses caused by natural disasters, government actions, or force majeure events.

Clients should obtain comprehensive travel insurance before departure.

Booking Security

We are proud members of the Tour Operators Society of Kenya (TOSK). This guarantees that every booking with Rockhopper Africa Safaris is safe and secure.
