Stop for a papyrus factory before we drive to the area of Old Cairo and the hanging church.

After breakfast we begin our journey towards Sinai and the area of St. Katherine, we will pass by the tunnel of Ahmed Hamdy that ties Africa with Asia, and we may have a chance of seeing some ships crossing the Suez Canal that links the RED sea with the MED. Sea. Continue our journey through Moses Springs and the 70 palms. Drive to St. Katherine.

Early morning wake up call for those who wish to climb Mt. Sinai to be on the spot that witnessed the revelation of the 10 Commandments. After Breakfast drive to Petra – Petra visit – Known as the ‘Pink-Rose City’ or the “Lost City” is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. a breathtaking walking tour today through the ruins of ancient Petra – the city that the Nabateans carved out of solid rock dating back to 300 BC! Special moments to walk through a passage the Siq, which dramatically opens up to reveal the Treasury Building (Al-Khazneh). We will see also the Roman Theatre, Corinthian tomb, Palace of Pharos’s Daughter, the Carved Roman Theater and the Royal Courts, along with one of the oldest Cathedral of the Bishop high-chair. Drive to Madaba: Just 20 minutes south of Amman, on the Kings Highway, is the mosaic-filled city of Madaba. Crowned by a small church, this historic town lies in the middle of Jordan’s most fertile land. In many respects Madaba is a typical East Bank town which differs in one major aspect: underneath almost every house lies a fine Byzantine mosaic. Many of these mosaics have been excavated and are on display in the town’s museum, but it is estimated that many more lie hidden waiting to be discovered. The finest mosaic found to date is still in its original place on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.

Drive to Mt. Nebo: Situated 10 kilometers west of Madaba, overlooking the Jordan Valley is Mount Nebo, one of the alleged sites of the tomb of Moses. The summit of this lonely wind swept site command spectacular views over the Dead Sea to the West Bank and Jerusalem and, you can see the springs where Moses smote the ground to bring forth water.
Standing amongst extensive ruins is a small church which protects some fine and beautifully preserved sixth century mosaics which are still being uncovered.
